1962 Austin Healey 3000 project
I bought this Healey over 2 years ago to restore. Stored indoors for over 30 years. Other than a few areas it is very solid, and I believe better than most you will see anywhere near this price.
I also have purchased thousands in parts to get started. (Door and kick panels, heater and blower, very nice exhaust system, side curtains and mounting plates, New Front brake rotors and pads, very nice rebuilt front caliper assemblies, New rear wheel cylinders, and shoes, shut face and rocker trim, ignition switch, coil, points and plugs, Convertible top, Boot, and Tonneau cover, Clutch master cylinder, Slave cylinder, New trunk Armachord set, white face temp guage, a few msc pieces). The car rolls easily for loading.
If what you see, and the parts aren’t enough: (1) I soaked the cylinders, drained it, added new oil and filter, (2) Turned the engine repeatedly by wrench, (3) disconnected coil and turned the engine over with starter, (4) Connected the coil, sprayed a little starting fluid into throttle bodies and the got the car to run! (a few seconds with starting fluid).
Of course the fuel tank, carbs, lines, etc need addressed.
I’ll make no excuses for this car, as it’s worth every penny. (I have more in it). Project Healey’s like this are getting very hard to find. I have the clear Virginia title that I received. The Healey is sold as is needing restoration.
