Excellent candidate for a quick restoration. Has the early production features – 8-point battery box cover, hinged grille, early fenders. Very complete, and body is in great shape. Doesn’t run, but engine full of oil, turns freely. I hooked up a 12v battery and the starter turns the engine over. Has the original style Carter YS carburetor. I opened up the transmission and it is full of oil and only has a little surface rust. Pretty much everything is there and it doesn’t look like it would be that hard to get it running. No leaks in radiator. Thermostat housing was cracked, so I replaced it with a NOS one and also put in a new thermostat. I don’t see any non-military parts or modifications to this jeep.
