Rare project car now for sale. 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 4 speed posi project car. This is the Real Deal! Full Pontiac Historical Documentation. Numbers matching 400. This car was originally green with black interior, four speed and posi. The car still has its original numbers matching 400 engine with 16 heads and all correct mechanical parts. The engine has been disassembled. It has a correct 1968 Muncie M20 4 peed transmission and a 3:55 Posi rear end. I am not sure if the rear end is the original for the car. The car is very complete. Most all of the parts are there to put the car together. The body is in need of some attention. It will need quarters, outer wheel houses, floors -front and rear, and a few other things. The rear frame rails appear to be very solid in the rear but have a few small issues near the front. The trunk has some pinholes in it but is not bad. The rockers seem very solid except for some small areas. This would be a very neat project. Very few of these are left in existence.
