I cleaned up the motor and replaced all the ignition parts and bought a NOS carburetor too. The oil was clean, but I changed the oil and filter as a matter of course. I installed a new battery, battery cables, and ignition switch and it fired right up. It idles and runs smoothly and has 60 pounds of oil pressure at start up and about 50 psi at idle warmed up. I also replaced all the heater hoses and clamps, transmission cooler hoses, the heater control valve and thermostat. Also I have the original windshield washer bottle and it works.

The fan belts are all new also and I am installing a new voltage regulator tomorrow. I replaced all the brake lines and brake hoses, installed new wheel bearings and seals, new brake wheel cylinders, master cylinder, re-lined the brake shoes front and rear, replaced all the brake hardware, rebuilt power steering pump and new high pressure and return lines. The battery is a new 60 month group 24. Cooling system has been flushed and correct antifreeze/coolant installed.

The parking brake and cables have been restored and work fine. The transmission is the original hydromantic and shifts well forward and reverse. The stock air cleaner has been disassembled, restored and filled with 30wt. The stock wheels were rusted away and so I bought new 15″x7″ steelies, new 225×65 R15 Radial tires, and new stainless hub caps and trim rings.

I have the door panels which are good for patterns, the rocker trim cover panels and the rear tailgate cover. The glass is good all the way around, however a kindly juvenile delinquent shot the windshield with a BB gun, and so it has a little chip that can be fixed. The seats are stock. Overall this is a great restoration candidate or you can just drive it as a Rat Rod. There is rust as shown in the pictures but repairable too except for right front fender which should be replaced.

The rear tail gate does not have the glass, but that can be found on eBay as most parts for it can. The left gas tank needs to be restored, but it is included. I bought new tank flanges for both sides. I have had the right tank cleaned and installed a new sending unit. The tank switch valve has been restored and it is included too. I have the stock stainless hub caps and they go with it too. I have all the side trim and it is included. Also have the original jack included.
