Up for sale is my 1967 Lotus Elan Convertible project.
I bought this in hopes of having a nicely restored Elan but unfortunately I must sell it due to health issues.
It is an original California car that has been off the road since 1978.
It seems the previous owner broke the ear off the differential and left it sitting.
I bought it. Got the engine running and then decided to restore it.
I removed the body, stripped and recoated the chassis which was in excellent condition.
Redid the front suspension and steering. Redid the brake lines.
Bought a new differential and a stiffing brace.
Bought new bearings and seals for it and bought numerous brake and suspension parts.
I then damaged my back and now its sitting again.
It needs to go so here it is.
Needs paint and bodywork but the body is solid.
It needs a complete interior but it is all there.
I have the windscreen but it seems that the previous owner cut the windscreen frame and door frames to make some sort of racer.
I will help in any way I can for the new owner go get it packed up for shipping.
All the new parts I have will go with the car.
