1955 Ford Custom cab Truck. V8 272 Engine 3 Speed Transmission with O.D.

This running project truck was purchased in the summer of 1972. In the 48 years of owning it was used mostly as a commuter vehicle, then when not needed just sat parked and seldom driven for many years waiting restoration as a retirement project. Priorities changed.

The truck has a V8 272 with a 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive. The vehicle is currently registered. During ownership the engine has been rebuilt twice, 1973&1986, and the transmission once.

New tires were installed last summer; new battery, brake light switch 10/19; 7/2017 work: rebuild brakes, master cylinder, water pump, generator, carburetor, new fan belts, voltage regulator, door locks, door channels, window glass, window handle, window vent frame, new door locks, original seat installed.

Truck is running shifts ok, brakes ok, steering ok, fuel and temp gauge work.

Needed work: heavy exterior rusted area on hood, roof, and lower door, radiator flushing, truck was partially retired in the 70’s so should be redone, heater core has leak, turn signals disconnected, brake lights are out, front turn signal lights out, interior work. In 1994 truck was repainted white with a red interior, with old rear dock bumper removed and original standard bumper installed.
