Los Angeles built 1970 Z28 RS.  It is a real Z with RS option from the factory, not a clone.  Yes it is a factory 4 speed car and does still have the original 12 bolt rear end.  Original paint is code 67 Classic copper with standard black interior.  It came with power steering and power brakes.  Condition is as follows: Gauge cluster is not original to the car. Engine is a `66 date coded 325 HP 396 from a Chevelle which obviously is not the original engine to the car.  Believe it or not, it fires and runs.  It might actually run good with fresh gas, points, plugs etc.  However, this car has not been on the road in 22 years and has been sitting so don`t plan on driving it any time soon because the brakes don`t work, etc etc.  The car needs restored mechanically and cosmetically.   On to the body etc.. Obviously this car needs a COMPLETE restoration.  The car needs to be disassembled, and the body blasted or dipped to be restored correctly.  Exterior had one single repaint over original paint.  All sheet metal is original to the car, I will describe it front to back.  All GM, never a panel replaced.  Front clip as you can see is actually very straight and solid, short of a couple of minor dents and a repairable spot of rust on the bottom of the passengers side front fender.  Needs the passengers side wheel well and battery tray replaced.  Sub frame is straight and solid with heavy surface rust that will blast away.  Still has the correct 1″ front sway bar and control arm snubbers.  Cowl, firewall, and drains are super solid.  Front window channel is solid.  Dash needs rust repair at both corners of lower windshield.  Door jambs are solid. Doors are solid.  Passengers door has a big dent and may or may not need to be reskinned and the latch doesn`t work.  All other window regulators and latches work.  Interior floors are solid with surface rust in places, nothing that won`t blast away.  Drivers side front toe board needs a couple of smaller spots patched but for sure does not need floor panel replacement.  Floors under rear seats are solid with heavy surface rust and some pitting.  One of the rear seat hold down brackets is getting thin but will probably be ok as is since it`s not seen when seat is installed.  Front seats have been reupholstered. Drivers side rear quarter panel is solid but needs some minor body work and a lower rear patch panel.  Wheel well and lips are solid.  Passengers side Quarter panel and lips are straight and solid but needs dent repair and lower rust patch at the rear of wheel well.  Taillight panel is straight and solid and will need only minor dent repair below the bumper.  Roof is solid, needs only a small spot of rust repair at the top of the passengers side sail panel.  Lower trunk floor should probably be replaced.  Frame rails, shock mounts and surrounding metal are all solid.  Outside rear window edges and channel are solid.  Rear upper trunk seal lip and interior around rear window edges need rust repair.  Overall the body is pretty solid but a leaking trunk and condensation left heavy surface rust in places which is why the body needs blasted or dipped and any unusual rust repair.
